17406 - Service Update. Vehicles may be missing a seal plug in the electric power steering (EPS) connector cavity leading to corrosion. Vehicle may lose steering assist and/or set diagnostic trouble codes and driver information center messages. Dealers are to inspect EPS connector for missing seal plug and water intrusion or corrosion. Replace the EPS connector and electric dual pinion rack and power steering gear if water intrusion or corrosion is found.
