Okay, so the problem still isn't fixed. This has been an ongoing problem for years now. Wife got to the point where she wouldn't fill it up. We have taken it to multiple shops (Dealership included) and all we ever get told is its a bad purge valve which is what I initially suspected. Both have been replaced multiple times and it always is still present. Another oddity with this is when it starts acting up the car goes into 3rd gear and will not downshift or upshift out, and can not be manually shifted (shift conditions unfavorable, or shift denied) is the message we keep getting. But after letting the car sit for an extended amount of time the car starts acting fine again. We need an exorcist. I think. But we have really had it with Buick at this point. Another thing is my wife is a home health nurse so she spends a considerable amount of time in her car and this is not cool.
