Over the 12 months I've owned the 2017 Buick Lacrosse (purchased new), the radio and GPS sound have failed to work 20+ times. At first I thought it was me not understanding the technology and somehow muting it. It's not me. I've had it serviced 3 times and they've been unable to fix it. Of course, everything works when I take it to be repaired. The dealership says I have to bring it in when it happens again as they need to duplicate it. The dealership tech "scanned for dtc's found u15e1 lost communication with device on lin bus."
I have video showing that the selection buttons for the radio stations don't work at the time of the malfunction, there is no sound for the radio or the gps. It can happen first thing in the morning, or when returning to the car after a quick errand. The car is kept in a garage every day.
A relative works at a dealership and showed me a "fin" that had been replaced from the roof of another Lacrosse and mentioned they've seen that problem multiple times. Moisture had corroded the inside of the fin. I mentioned it to my dealer, and they ruled it out.
No radio is a royal pain. I pay for Sirius radio for my car and I'm unable to use it. Particularly upsetting on long drives not having the radio or being able to utilize the gps. I'm also not happy with the low front bumper guard that is so low to the ground. I regret buying a Buick.
