I was driving to work this morning and my car started bucking and then a Stabilitrak light came on and a few seconds later check engine light and stated that engine power reduced. I was going 50 miles and hour through a intersection and lost all engine power. Could not increase using gas peddle, went right to the floor and would not do anything. I was able to finally get to the side of the road safely. I turned the car off and back on and was able to get the other mile to work with reduced power. I am unable to leave work because to get home 45 min away it is all hills and no cell phone service. If I get stuck there I will be dead for sure. The scariest thing I have experienced. I have read so many of these complaints I am surprised there is no resolution and if there is it is not posted. There is also no open recalls that I can see other than electric seating. Any help would be appreciated.

Update from Feb 3, 2019: I changed the throttle body on the engine and seems to be running normal again. I'm not sure if it was a true fix but we'll find out.

DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON I 295 GOING ABOUT 5 OVER SPEED LIMIT OF 65 MPH. ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR STARTS TO MAKE BING BING BING NOISE AND DISPLAY COMES ON WITH ENGINE POWER REDUCTION AND THE CAR ACTUALLY STARTED TO SLOW DOWN TO UNSAFE SPEED ON INTERSTATE. SO I PULLED OVER TO FAR RIGHT LANE WITH FLASHERS ON BECAUSE SEMI TRACTOR TRAILERS PASSING ME DOING WELL OVER THE SPEED LIMIT. I COULD NOT EXIT MY VEHICLE OR I WOULD HAVE BEEN PART OF THE INTERSTATE. LUCK FOR ME THE LIGHTS STAYED ON DURING THIS ENGINE POWER REDUCTION. SOUNDS LIKE SOME SORT OF CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE ENGINE.

I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD SERVICE DEPT CLOSED. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SALESPERSON AND DESCRIBED MY PROBLEM AND ALL HE COULD OFFER ME WAS DID I WANT TO BUY A NEW CAR (&&%()&*)(+)++0- OMG. SO I SAT THERE FOR A FEW MINUTES AND I NOTICE THE GAUGE FOR TEMP OF ENGINE WENT DOWN HALF WAY FROM THE HOT POSITION . SO I STARTED THE CAR AND THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN I DROVE 50 MPH UNTIL I REACH MY EXIT ABOUT 1 1/2 MILES FROM STOPPING POINT. THE GAUGE WENT BACK TO HOT AND I CONTINUED WITH PRAYERS TO JUST MAKE IT HOME. MADE IT TO MY DRIVEWAY AND IT IS STILL THERE. WENT BACK OUT ABOUT AN HOUR LATER STILL ERROR MESSAGE ON DISPLAY ENGINE POWER REDUCTION. ???????? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND.
