- Reduced Engine Power/Service Traction Control - My 09 Lacrosse has been having intermittent issues over the last year or so. I already changed the Throttle Body Sensor. Improved my fuel mileage but problem came back within 60 days. Additional research shows GM is aware of this and you can follow link I provided from Vitaly's website. It lists the problem and should be repaired at dealership at no charge if under 10 years and 120k miles. Will be taking mine in tomorrow morning. P.S. I also posted this for 09 Lacrosse complaints as well. Mine was Manuf. 08/08 but is titled/registered as an 09

Same complaint another owner of a 2008 or 2009 Lacrosse Buick about a Check Engine light then a T/C light coming on at the same time? The engine is a 2.8L V6 with an automatic transmission. Has 46,800 miles as of this writing. Due to the July 4, 2016 holiday and being about 600 miles from home, it is a bit difficult to take it in to an authorized Buick dealer as per our warranty requirements..
The T/C light went off after shutting engine off and restarting but the Check Engine light remains on? This Check Engine light also occurred about a month ago. Took car into an "authorized" Buick dealer (as per our warranty requirements) to have this item checked. Nothing was found at that time...until now. Plan on driving car home tomorrow with hopes the engine doesn't shut down..don't plan on staying at this location (Brigham City, Utah) until Tuesday to have a local Buick dealer check out problem....which I hope this car doesn't break down as we continue on to our final destination in Arizona. Have driven this car with no Check Engine issues until today.
Also, have an Air Bag problem on the passenger side of this car. Stays on for 2 - 3 minutes (with passenger in seat) then goes off rest of the time...so, too bad for the passenger if the airbag doesn't go off if there is an accident. What great modern scientific technology we have...not only for this vehicle but for thousands of other vehicles in the U.S. that have this same issues where several people have already died or have severe injury if and when the bag is activated(?). I plan to take this in to the dealer to have this corrected...should be a big safety issue and the owner should not be responsible to pay for this repair.
Other than these issues, the vehicle runs ok...until today. Stay tuned for followup to these very important issues with this 2008 Buick Lacrosse.
