I noticed my car unlocked, which I always lock. While driving 1 mile, my locks tried to lock and sometimes did lock and unlock 15 times in one minute. After reading all the complaints on the Buick Lacrosse locks, I realize this is an expensive fix, which most people can't afford and a DANGER to drive for myself and family. How very Sad, that GM hasn't issued a recall and offered to fix this dangerous lock problem as they did with the ignition issue...
Bought the 2008 Lacrosse used in July of 2013. Started having problems on and off with the automatic door locks approx. 18 months later. Complained to dealer several times but of course the door locks would work fine while at dealer. Drove over to dealer one time while locks were not working correctly. Service advisor looked at them, saw the problem and said make an appointment and we will fix them. When I went to this appointment the service advisor had retired, the door locks were working ok and they said there was nothing they could do unless they saw the locks not working properly. Starting in July of 2016 at 60000miles at times doors would only lock by using top manual button. (Big safety and security issue) Went to an Independent Repair place who said that it did not matter if the door locks were working properly they could find the problem. I spent $1600. on a new Body Control Module and four door lock actuators. So far the problem seems to be corrected.
