On my way to work I noticed that when I stopped at a light it took longer to take off and when it did it made a hitting sound. When I parked I tried to go reverse to change parking spaces and it would not change into gear I accelerated and a delayed gear hitting sound again was very noticeable and the car sounded as if metal was shuffleling in the transmission. I turned off the car and went to work. When I got off work It turned on ok and drove off with slipping gears but not the hitting noice but I went off the road to answer a phone call and when I tried to drive off it wouldn't go into gear anywhere. I called AAA to haul it home. I had someone look at it and said transmission is gone to get a new transmission or do and overhaul. I bought this car from a private party I don't know if a manufacturer warranty would cover. Fluids were good in it I had just bought this vehicle about 7 months ago.
