The stabilizer bar broke and the drivers side wheel had 2 lug bolts break and all the lothers lug nuts spun off. Thank the lord that the wheel did not come off. I called the Buick dealership and they want $259 for the stabilizer bar that's if I diy the stabilizer bar. Why if you know about this problem. Have you not done anything to fix this problem? this differently a safety issue,

The contact owns a 2006 Buick Lacrosse. While driving 30 mph, the front driver side wheel began to make an abnormal noise. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the lug nuts and the control arm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. In addition, while at a stop and attempting to make a left turn, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The ABS and electronic stability control warning indicators illuminated. The contact sustained back, right arm, and right leg injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an auto body repair center for body repairs, but was not diagnosed or repaired for the failure. After the vehicle was repaired for the crash, the gear shifter was shifted into the drive position and the vehicle began to roll backwards. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact was aware of NHTSA campaign numbers: 06V417000 (air bags) and 14V355000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was 100,000. The VIN was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2006 Buick Lacrosse. When the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for maintenance, it was diagnosed that the front end sway bar was corroded and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 74,000. Updated 11/19/15 the consumer stated six (6) phone calls were made to the dealer who advised there was no resolution. Updated 2/3/2016 updated 11/14/2017

The contact owns a 2006 Buick Lacrosse. While driving 35 mph, the front end of the vehicle began to vibrate and veer to the left. The dealer was unable to adjust the front end, however, they installed spacers and shims to eliminate the failure. Nevertheless, the failure has recurred. As of July 3, 2007, the vehicle has not been repaired. The current mileage is 18,000 and failure mileage was 100.

The dealer lubricated the steering. The dealer stated that the grinding noise was due to the steering shaft. The weather conditions were not a factor. The grinding noise recurred within 4 months. The current and failure mileage was 11,000.

GM 2006 Buick Lacrosse with front end problem* the consumer stated after the mileage was increased on the vehicle, the tires wore prematurely and the shimmy or vibration became worse. The consumer stated the vibration was so severe, that she also shakes while driving the vehicle. Steering control has become a safety hazard and the vehicle will float on curves and on flat straight highways. The tires have been replaced several times to no avail. The consumer stated a total of 16 tires had been ordered for the vehicle.
