I drive my car to work, I try to stay local to my home due to gas prices, I am using about $30.00 to 45.00 dollars per week for traveling about 60 miles weekly. My car does not get good milage, I have been to 3 different garages, everyone has a different solution for my problem, but at this point nothing is working. I have my oil changed on a regular basis, every 3000 miles, I have had the thermostat changed, that did not help, I have replaced tires at a cost of over $350.00 for 2 front tires, I have had a front-end alinement, that has also not given me the fuel milage I am looking for. This car being a V6 should be doing much better and I am very dissapointed, my husband and I had a 1999 Buick Park Avenue, that we drove to Florida in 2004 to visit our daughter, that car only cost us $145.00 to drive over 1200 miles. I know that gas prices were much lower then but my point is that a Buick is supposed to be a good car and this one does not meet those standards. I am hopeing for a mechanical person who will know what my problem is and tell me how to fix it. If I find that the fuel-injector system is bad, then I have to decided if the car is worth putting the repair bill into it or trading is the answer. I am semi-retired and am still working, I want a car that will be dependable and will not cost a small fortune to keep on the road, like this one is doing now. Does anyone have info on the cost of fuel-injector systems, and the repair costs? I would be interested to hear from someone who knows the answer, and will give a straight estimate. Thanks for reading and will be watching for a response.......
