The car unexpectedly quits running in traffic due to the ignition key returning to off from the run position with no apparent external forces. I have not owned the car for very long so I do not know how long this has been happening. This problem seems to be worse in cold temperatures. If the key is held in the "run" position for awhile it will continue to run, but this is very stressful because it occurs while in traffic... The transmission has to be shifted to N for the car to restart, then shifted to Dr while holding the key in place and steering the car in a crowd of angry drivers being held up by the stalling car.
