We just purchased the car Thursday Dec. 21st 2023. Driving it to church Sunday Christmas Eve and again tonight to prayer meeting the lights were so dim. I put on the fog lights which helped some but when using the high beams it was worse. Something isn't right with these lights. We live in deer country and am fearful of not seeing a crossing deer in time. We had a 2012 Volkswagen Touareg which had super good lights. I will be going back to the dealer because we have 3 months coverage. Hopefully they can help us.We can't drive far at night this way!

Envision

I purchased my Envision in November 2017. The very first time we were out in the evening we noticed that the headlights were terrible. I immediately called the service center and had them take it in to be evaluated. They came back telling us that the lights were fine and there was no problem with the adjustment. I asked if they could be replaced with a brighter light and they told us there were no other options. Since that time we have been forced to use our other vehicle when driving at night.

Most recently, we lent the vehicle to a family member and told them to not drive at night as the lighting was terrible. Unfortunately, they were forced to upon their return home and were utterly shocked at how bad the lights were. They were driving in the rain which makes the conditions even more treacherous with the terrible lighting. I am completely baffled that no one has died or been seriously injured as a result of this issue. Or, perhaps they have been.

I should mention that I live in Canada and have recently reported this to Transport Canada as a safety malfunction that needs to be investigated.

I have also contacted our service center recently finding LED headlight kits (The Envision has Halogen according to the service center) available for the Envision. I inquired as to whether or not we could have these LED lights installed. The gentleman advised not to do so as they have been known to cause fire issues with the wiring and melting of headlight covers.
