Happened 4 days before my warranty ran out, but took it to an independent mechanic for diagnostics cause it was more than half the price of what the dealership wanted. I contacted GM, and they said they'd pay for 50% of it, because I called after the warranty period, but I had to go to a dealer and pay $185 for their diagnostics that cost the same amount. Almost 8 weeks later, still no part available. My battery is dead and my car has been sitting in my friends garage cause u can't lock the doors, but I guess that really doesn't matter because the battery is dead. I've had to herpes to drive me to drs appointments and my work has been super accommodating by allowing me to work from home.

Update from Dec 10, 2024: I corresponded with GM and my dealership and they were able to get me a part. Incident happened October 7 and finally got the part on Nov 27th but they didn't have time til Dec 5th to install. Battery drained during this time but had Roadside assistance come and boot it. i didn't drive the car all that time cause i didn't want my battery to keep on draining or not being able to lock my car. All is fixed, all working well.
