*Having trouble with alert lights in mirrors not working properly, *Screen going dim, sometimes completely black, coming back on by itself, (Many many times) *Head lights going off and on *Passenger airbag going off and on *Bluetooth doesn't work, added Bluetooth app, it worked for awhile and now, I can receive calls or call out, I can hear the other party but they can't hear me *GPS doesn't work correctly, it comes on but it doesn't have the correct locations of where you are or where you're going. *Half of controls went completely off, came back on *Radio went completely off, turned car off, restarted car, radio came back on. *Auto headlights quit working, after turning on manually they worked * Sitting in parking lot, everything off and all of a sudden radio comes on by itself *Went to start car, wouldn't start, had nothing, at all, all of a sudden it decided to start

I have taken my car to Auffenburgs in Carbondale, Illinois where I bought it, several times, they said they couldn't find the problem, they made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. I took it to Weeks in West Frankfort, Illinois several times, they can't find the problem. I have dates and notes of a lot of these episodes.

I would really like some help about getting it fixed.

The problem is, in bright sunlight the instrument panel is nearly invisible particularly the Driver Information Center. I have discussed the issue with a Buick Dealer Service Department. The adjustments to the instrument panel lighting are insufficient to correct the problem. There is NO problem at night, only in bright sun during the day.

My issue is the result of a perfect storm of events. I have been thinking about a new car over the last several months, when I first drove an Encore was a cloudy day and when I drove this particular Encore home that night the instrument panel was very visible. I was very much aware of the problem the next day when I drove it for the first time in bright sunlight. My Buick Dealer indicated that it was not possible to modify the wiring to allow the instrument lights to remain on during the day.

The car I traded in was 2011 Buick Lucerne CXL with all the bells and whistles, For over four years I was very happy with my Buick but it had nearly 119,000 miles on it and it was time care for a new car. more later--.-

I like my Encore except for brake issues and dashboard and info system issues. When you turn on the headlights or auto lights come on you can hardly see your dashboard lights or the info center lights. Hard to see clock and radio station. I consider all this a safety issue for sure. I find myself not wanting to turn on the headlights and do not want them in the auto mode. This is dangerous. A lot of seniors buy a Buick and they show know better than to build a vehicle that seniors have issues seeing the dash and info center.

I am told just how it is built so cannot be fixed. I wish now I had not bought this vehicle so buyer beware if you are older and notice the dash and the way the lights dim all your systems.
