When I first bought the car in 2019, after about 1 month the check engine came on and we were told it was the turbo was bad by our mechanic. We returned it to the dealer and they told us it was just a sensor that was bad. We drove the car for a week and the engine light came back on. We took it to a different mechanic who told us it was the sensor. He replaced the sensor and that lasted a day. We took it back and he said it needs a new turbo. The car still ran with the engine light and the dealer refused to do anything else. They refused to replace the turbo. So we used the car sparingly.
If we didn’t run it for a while, 10 days or so, we found we had to jump the battery and in the 3 years we’ve had it we have replaced the battery 3x. There is something draining the battery. Now the car is starting to over heat. We bring it to another mechanic ever since we moved. He told us it needed a new turbo, and by driving it with a bad turbo it ruined the thermostat which caused it to overheat and now has cracked the valve cover, so I need a new one of those with the gasket. So now the mechanic says I need a new exhaust manifold and gasket, turbo, intake manifold and gasket, valve cover and gasket, thermostat and gasket.
So I pay the $4500 he wants for the parts and labor. I wait a week and it’s all back together and it simply won’t run. The mechanic brought in Buick mechanics and they cannot figure it out. I’m being told it’s low fuel pressure but no one can find out why. And computer diagnostics doesn’t find any other errors with the exception of the low fuel pressure. At their own expense they replaced the fuel pump and that still did not work. There is something totally wrong with the electric or computer make up on these vehicles and Buick is sweeping it under the rug, not caring about it and who is hurt by it. I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY GMC!
