Recall N232404980 According to the recall, "the front driver airbag inflator may contain a supplier manufacturing defect that may result in inflator rupture during deployment. An inflator rupture may cause metal fragments to pass through the airbag and into the vehicle interior, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants" I called my local service agent at Baker Buick in Charleston, SC who informed me that no remedy is available at this time. If this is something that could result in death, I want a remedy immediately. I no longer feel safe driving the vehicle myself and especially with my children inside the vehicle. The representative at Baker Buick connected me to the Buick Roadside Assistance, which was of no help. I contacted Buick directly according to their letter and they were of no help either. I have the text messages from them with the standard lines they read off to all their customers and no offer of assistance. Nor do they offer a safer loner vehicle until they can fix mine. They acknowledge that I'm driving a dangerous vehicle but only "understand my frustration". For a faulty part that can cause serious injury or death, the response I've received from them is completely unacceptable

Have contacted GM and they have no estimated date for repairing my vehicle. As a senior I am very concerned that any mistake could have dire consequences. Appears they can repair Chevys and Cadillacs, why not Buick? Recall was in May, we are now approaching two months.

The contact owned a 2017 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 20 MPH and then making a turn, a deer jumped out onto the road and after it was hit, the vehicle was sent into a marsh wetland. The contact stated that all the air bags failed to deploy and that the passenger side hit a tree and the driver side of the vehicle was partially in the pond. No warning lights had illuminated. There were no police on the scene, however, the fire department arrived and the contact was unsure if there was a report filed. There was no injury therefore no medical attention was required. After contacting the insurance company, the vehicle was towed and later deemed destroyed once an inspector was sent out. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

The car was rear ended while parked. The car is totaled. The car moved up several feet upon impact in park and hit the trailer that was parked in front of it. The airbags did not deploy and the screen showed an error message following the accident that said "service airbags". there was no prior notification of this sort previous to the accident. This airbag issue should have been alerted before the accident took place.
