I was informed of the active airbag recall on my vehicle when it was taken in on 1/26/24 to have diagnostic work done on the AC. The GM repair center would not repair the vehicle. Every person and agency I have spoken to has refused to help me because there is currently no remedy available. If there is no remedy, my airbag should simply be replaced.

How the government hasn-??t stepped up knowing that this issue can cause death is beyond me. What-??s the point of a national recall if the manufacture isn-??t forced to do something about the recall? No more GM products in my future.

The last call I was told not to worry about it, it's not a big deal. I do worry about it though. They suggested that the delay in parts availability is because of the recent auto strike which started in September, despite this recall being announced in May. Please help.

Complete "FAILURE" to remedy a life and death recall situation now for six months. This is considered an incident to me as there is not a single person of whom I wrote to or spoke to that has any clue or estimate of when this dangerous air bag recall will be remedied. This includes CEO Mary Barra, Cust Care VP John Roth, their administrative phone response personnel, and numerous employees at Tasca GMC Buick in Palm Harbor Florida. My notification letter states "we are concerned about your safety and continued satisfaction with our products". I repeat: MAY RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH" !! Does this sound like Buick is concerned for my safety as well as my vehicles occupants " Please advise why I get a blank stare from Buick personnel, why no one knows of a possible remedy schedule, and why the possibility of death in one of these vehicles caused by a defect is not an item remedy clearly communicated to its customers " [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
