Relying on something you have always had and then it stops working is very annoying! Not to mention not safe!

FORWARD COLLISION DOES NOT WORK as depicted and advertised, especially in utube videos. Took to the dealer twice now. They respond "vehicle shows no error code, working within acceptable range." Filed a complaint with the NTSB. Filed a complaint with GM Lemon Law. Took back to LaFontaine Buick in Highland Michigan yesterday. Senior Advisor Justin took us for a test drive to "show us how it works." Damn near rear-ended several trucks. System never once activated. He gave up and agreed it did not work. Said he "pushed it until his heart was coming out of his chest" and the warning lights never activated. Admitted it did not function and offered us no value. Agreed to fix it. Until... he found another 15 Buick Enclave on his lot. Drove that vehicle, then a third, brand spanking new GMC Acadia... could not get any of the vehicles to provide a visual warning light in dashboard -- the red strip of lights -- did not turn on, did not flash, did not beep.

Shaheen Buick in Ft. Lauderdale and LaFontaine Buick in Highland, MI say "systems works as designed." It does NOT work. Videos showing how it is suppose to work on Utube are misleading and false as my vehicle does not give any warning when you are 6" from the car ahead of you. System only works at speeds about 25 mph. TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SYSTEM AND GM'S RESPONSE.

Update from Jul 13, 2017: My GARMIN DRIVE ASSIST captured a recent test drive at Fletch's Buick GMC in Petoskey (found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oo_6CPZDF2k&t=3s) wherein the service adviser admits "I have it set to medium...we almost hit that car, it's not working..." He tries multiple times to get the FCA to alert and it is not working as GM's demo video shows. (The alerts you hear in the video are coming from my Garmin Drive Assist GPS.) Five hours later, when they can't figure it out and don't know how to fix it, they say "GM gives us little information on the FCA or its parameters so we just have to ASSUME it is working as designed." (Despite the fact it actually does not work!!) Have made numerous attempts to get help, escalated to GM's Executive Level Assistance (Christian and Ty), they finally agree to replace the camera but it's still not working, but they now say "dealer is telling us it's working so there's nothing we can do." Buyer beware! Terrible Disappointment.

From the time I received the car new the forward alert system never has worked correctly The chirp alert doesn't go off when it is suppose to. Since that time until today--approx. 6-mons. it has gone off maybe3- 4 times correctly. It has gone off an maybe another 6-10 times when nothing is in front of the car or has gone off when it might pick up a car in another lane. Efforts to force a good alert by driving up fast on a moving car ahead doesn't set the alert off. Many times the tailgate warning never change color from green(ok) to (yellow) Doesn't matter how alert is set--far or near.

Dealers-seller and second opinion dealer state they have no way of checking other then driving in such a manner to have system respond. Selling dealer won't do this--and I can see why but! On recent trip north code flashed in dash window--Collision Alert Unavailable--service camera. Second opinion Dealer advised no code pop in device they use to check in car. Was on for a while--then off, then on again---resets when shut down

Car has approx. 5200 miles--most of this was my trip north from fl to Maine when I received this message/code in dash screen. They thought system was working ok and agreed to ride with me. I force several situations (which I don't want to do but only way to test on the road) and Service Rep braced several times and agreed the warning, that I was too close and then the alert system should have reacted. It did not. I can't prove I had alerts above as they came on while driving 65-70 on I-95 coming north.GM has given me a case number but won't go further until I get a field dealer to find fault. I think it electrical and or faulty alert system. Help..
