I have been without AC because the power steering hose on my Buick Enclave has rubbed a hole in the AC tube. This is a manufacturing issue that could cost me upwards of $1,300 to fix. The part can only be ordered and replaced through the dealership. I took my vehicle to the shop because my AC was blowing hot air. There was a hose that had a hole and that was replaced. Once the shop charged the ac they heard a loud hissing. After searching for the noise they found that the aluminum tube had a hole in it due to the fact the the power steering hose had been rubbing against it and the friction punctured the tube. This is a very expensive repair! I feel that GM should recall these vehicles and fix them for free since the manufacturing could have done a better job of placing the hose so that it not cause future problems for their consumers. I'm reaching out to GM about this issue and I encourage everyone to do the same. Hopefully we can get them to issue a recall and remedy the situation.
