Enclave LX 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission

The timing needs to be replaced and am trying to find a Buick dealer that is reasonable. I am sure most are experienced as this is a known problem that GM will not stand behind. So far I have been quoted $3711.31 and $4818.00 by 2 different dealers; a third one wanted $95.00 to give me a quote and I would have to leave the car over night and they would not provide a loaner.

The car has never been serviced by anyone but a Buick dealer and at the prescribed service intervals.

timing chain loose

09 buick enclave cxl 3.6 126,000 miles. The check engine light is on. It's throwing codes like 13 different codes. It's misfiring. Like it's going to die on me. I put on new spark plugs, catalytic converter 3, o2 sensor x4 and coils and it still do the same thing. It's the timing chain.

It stop running last week on the way to my sons track meet 30 mins away the shop just called no compression in cylinder 4 GM should be ashamed of this vehicle !

Enclave CXL 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 210,000 miles

Since the 115,000 mile mark, I've replaced the transmission (twice), steering and pump (twice), and now the timing chain is no good. I currently have 215,000 miles but this is the very first vehicle I've had this much trouble with. I'm out $10,000+ with this SUV. In addition, the lift gate still fails to open regularly and falls each and every time it's opened - all this after the recall fix!. Have the issues with this engine and transmission been resolved? I love the car and would consider an engine replacement if it will be worth it.
