CarComplaints.com Notes: Buying the first model year of any vehicle is rarely a good idea. You become a guinea pig for the automaker and they are really not nice to guinea pigs.
The 2008 Enclave has a wide enough range of problems to issue a warning. There's transmission failure under 90k miles, new power steering units costing over $1,300, and enough engine complaints to NHTSA to scare anyone away.

Ok I got the transmission rebuilt at 64000 Miles in 2015 because of a transmission failure. And 3 months ago I started felling thumps (physical) when the automatic gears change.. This becomes more prevalent until last couple of weeks. Now I have to get this repaired again and pay for it.. they say it is the torque converter and have to open the transmission. I don't know much about the vehicles, but learn as I go along.
Buick.. Buick.. I am not sure when I will be able to get RID of this Thing.. it is a money eating monster...
