CarComplaints.com Notes: Buying the first model year of any vehicle is rarely a good idea. You become a guinea pig for the automaker and they are really not nice to guinea pigs.
The 2008 Enclave has a wide enough range of problems to issue a warning. There's transmission failure under 90k miles, new power steering units costing over $1,300, and enough engine complaints to NHTSA to scare anyone away.

My 2008 Enclave has started to continue to run after I have turned it off. As well, there is an intermittent draw on the brand new battery of up to 7 amps. Took it to my sophisticated repair garage and they could not duplicate the problem albeit they had seen the situation happen at their shop. Had car for two days and could not find the problem. They are now telling me that I will have to take it back to a Buick dealer. I wanted to find out if anyone has had this problem with their Enclave.
Update from Jan 28, 2016: Took car into dealer today and problem was found. The right side of the windshield was leaking and the water draining into the fuse box thereby creating the shorting out and the motor running on after shutting off.
