This is our second Buick (we were given both, by a relative, as gifts - no say in the purchases). The 2001 Buick Century (was 3 years old at the time, only 50,000 kms on it) we had for one year - intake manifold gasket failure at 60,000 kms, major transmission failure ($2500CAD) at 55,000 kms, frequent failures of "low tire" alert, just to name a few. We got rid of the car for a used Honda Civic, before the intake manifold was fixed. Enough!! The second Buick - 2003 - MUCH more reliable, in every way, until 115,000 kms - fuel gauge erratic - replaced fuel pump, almost $600. I have since read about the intake manifold problem on some 2003 Buick's (thought it was mainly 2001 models) - at about 128,000 kms - only 13,000 kms to go before a $1100 bill?!
