Went to stop my car and felt that the brakes were very spongey. Found that the rear brake line was rusted. This I was very bad because I had both of my young kids with me!

This was a pretty horrible thing to go wrong. Just got in my car started driving and at one point i realized there is absolutely no pressure on the brake pedal. You could put the pedal to the floor and the car would barley slow down, pulled over immediately and noticed brake fluid was leaking from the rear. Got it to a shop and they told me that one of the brake lines was completely rusted through. This is just one of the many things that have gone bad with this car. . i wouldn't wish this car on my worst enemy. Its down right horrible, if your thinking of getting a century dont even waste you money.

Mechanic told me that underside of car is fairly rusted and that includes brake lines. Now that is frightening since my niece had similar problem and she lost break fluid completely at most inappropriate moment. So many things wrong with this car - is it worth keeping it?
