This has happened 8 or 9 times between April 2018 and November 2018. One time it occurred during a torrential downpour. I have only been near the car when it occurred twice. The first time I was 50+ miles away. The first time I took it in to the dealership they reset the frequency on which the windows are set. The second time Buick refused to allow the manufacturer to touch the vehicle. They had a case open from the day I made the appointment with the dealership. Once I submitted the initial Lemon Law letter after Buick refused to allow any tests performed, Buick requested an inspection. The extent of the inspection allowed was to determine if there was any moisture in the window control box. It hadn't rained recently for there to be an issue. I went on vacation and had to have someone keep an eye on it in the event it occurred while I was gone.
The Lemon Law complaint was filed due to Safety (electrical damage, etc.), Security (theft of anything in the car or the car itself), Loss of Value (any unknown damage to leather seats and flooring from being exposed to rain). Buick offered to extend the warranty on the windows only, which does no good considering the issue has occurred since the only fix was done, they won't allow any real test to determine the issue, and this does not address potential water damage to the interior that has already occurred.
I am now scheduled for arbitration. I originally wanted to replace with a new Cascada, however at this point neither I nor any of my family will ever purchase a GM vehicle again.
