A D V E R T I S E M E N T S
I take my EV car to get an emissions test in Tucson, AZ since it has a Rex engine in it. It passed 2 years ago. Everything passes this time except one thing. When I initially turn the car on, there is an icon of the engine in the lower left of the screen which I'm pretty sure is always there just to remind me that my EV has an engine. The ADEQ testers say it's a check engine light so it fails! When I'm driving there isn't a check engine light and nothing wrong that I know of. It just got serviced at the BMW last year ( $2000), so I'm pretty sure it has no reason to be bad. Now I gotta get my happy butt back to the barracudas and see if they can fix what is reportedly a common error with the check engine light (coming on while driving and nothing wrong with it) which needs a software update. I don't think they have a software update for a light that is supposed to be there on startup letting me know my engine exists, which hopefully is why it is on. //end rant
