steering wheel stuck at high speed
During a road trip, having covered about 200km of distance and doing in the highway 200km/h the steering wheel stuck for about a second. With force it got unstuck however in those speeds even small adjustments can be dangerous not strong and panicing movements in an attempt not to crash anywhere. Immediately i lowered speed and thankfully no accident occured apart from my absolute loss of trust to the vehicle. During inspection in BMW a fault code had been saved pointing out extreme driving conditions. The car was nowhere near its limits since it is supposed to be a sports car with a top speed of 250km/h. Things are simple and BMW M devision itself shows the answer having replaced for the Z4m the electric steering with a hydroelectric one. It is unacceptable for such a pricey car to be having steering issues.. Shame on bmw for not recalling the vehicle for steering column issues as it is a very well documented problem..
