This noise problem has been a problem for more than a year. Been to dealership and they state it is a tire problem.
The sound coming from the engine compartment is like a rubbing noise that is loud between 20 to 30mph. after that it becomes a ticking noise at higher speeds. Sometimes when making turns the sound will dissipate. Unable to rotate tire because of the BMW series M set up. (Larger tires in back).
Wondering if problem could be with the XDRIVE or something to do with the brake wheel set up front. The rubbing noise and ticking appears to telescope through the steering column.
Been to tire Dealers in area and they state not tire problem. The tires on vehicle are OEM spec for this car (Pirelli Front 255/50-19). Also had a wheel alignment recently.
