I purchased a 2011 bmw this year July 2021 with 113,000 miles. I pay car note on this vehicle took a loan from my bank. The dealer ensure me that the vehicle was in good form. I also purchased and extend warranty on the engine just to be be safe. I drove the vehicle back home from Nebraska to Minnesota about 500 mile all seem fine. One my first drive upon returning home I got a oil light that indicates the oil was low. So I add oil after about a week and about 800 miles later I got a light stating my oil was low again. I took the vehicle for an oil change and figure the problem was fix. About 3 days later I got a message on my dashboard saying low oil again. I decide to take my car to a bmw repair shop in the twin cities. They inform me that my vehicle was consuming oil at a very high rate and my only two option was to repair the problem which cost $6000 or replace the engine which would cost $12,000 on which they recommend I do.
I proceeded to let them know I had an warranty on the vehicle and they glady contact my warranty company who then told them that my car had no internal engine malfunction issue and because the oil consumption was due to some internal valve seal due to poor design engine by bmw, that they would not cover my repairs. The shop call me and told me what warranty company stated. I pick up my car and continue to u it because it the only vehicle I have. I buy oil every week and the half for my vehicle and have bank Statement to prove so. In the URL u find the full inspection that was preform on my vehicle along with a vehicle of the white smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. The car now has about 25,000 mile as I commute alot back and forth from work and my own daily activities. Pls added to any kind of class action law suit that would help me. I can't until a vehicle that I'm still pay for and purchase at a price of 25,000 dollar i would have to pay 12,000 for a new engine.
To me this is fraud the dealership refuse to help me and I recently came across this class action law suit. Pls I need help as my pocket are alway low due to extra money spend on oil not to mention the repairs I have to pay for on my own that not under warranty. I'm so embarrassed every day when I go to work because hot or cold, rain or snow my car produces a heavy cloud of white smoke upon start up and continue all the way home. I feel helpless because I decide to buy a car that I felt was going to be very reliable. In the end it has been my biggest nightmare. I have no saving to just go and get a new engine tomorrow. Pls help me.. thank you
