Passenger side blind side detection operates about 40% of the time. I reported this problem twice to the dealership, only to be told that they could not find a problem with the car. My wife and I drove the car downtown Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia and the blind side only worked less than half the time. The detection will pick up larger 18 wheelers only 20 % of the time. The dealership, (Athens BMW) has been accommodating with this problem but I am at my last level. This is my first BMW. In the past I have had a Lexus 470 and an Acura RDX. My wife owns a Lexus ES350 with no problems at all. I am deeply sadden with this problem. I purchased this vehicle on 9/18/2018 and the problem is still active. Other problems exist with this car, that have been reported. My question is: "Did I buy a lemon?"
