PERFORM THE PROCEDURE OUTLINED IN THIS SERVICE INFORMATION ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES BEFORE CUSTOMER DELIVERY OR THE NEXT TIME THEY ARE IN THE SHOP FOR MAINTENANCE OR REPAIRS. designates changes to this revision SUBJECT Service Action: Program Variable Damper Control (VDC) unit. This Service Action is being released to improve customer satisfaction as we strive to be number 1 in the JD Power Initial Quality Survey (IQS). This new VDC software improves the acceleration sensor accuracy in our vehicles, and it helps us to ensure superior product quality. Please implement the VDC Programming Service Action immediately. This Service Action will be in effect until March 2015. Thank you for your continuous support. Unfavorable tolerances for the wheel acceleration sensors' plug-in connections may result in deactivation and fault code memory entries and the VDC. If the VDC control unit identifies an implausable value from one of the wheel acceleration sensors, the VDC will be deactivated and the driver is informed by a Check Control message. The vehicle then defaults to the conventional suspension.
