Sudden and unexplained braking.

This is the first of two occurrences where the car suddenly braked while driving in town, not at a crosswalk, no pedestrians and or animals in front, around or near the vehicle...as a matter of fact there was not a car immediately in front of me, but there was one behind me at a safe enough distance that when the car braked I was not rear ended. Took in to have looked at and if course nothing was found to be wrong with the vehicle. After being informed that the pedestrian warning system must have detected something and basically to keep track of the surroundings if it happens again, I am left feeling very uncomfortable while driving a moderately expensive vehicle just waiting for it to happen again...and hoping that I don't get into an accident as a result😕

While driving about 35 mph on a clear road with no pedestrians or animals in site or danger of being hit the vehicle suddenly braked. We were heading east at about 1:00 in the afternoon. Outside of town about 5 miles. Without warning, the suddenly braked and warning lights came on simultaneously. Scared both my husband and I, but this was the second time this had occurred. The first time I was alone. So happy my husband was with me the second time it occurred so he could experience it and not accuse me of accidentally pushing some random button!😟
