This SUV has been well taken care of and has had all the scheduled maintenance done at the same dealer where the SUV was purchased. I spoke to the Service people at the dealer and they told me that there would be no way that BMW would offer any Good Will or contributions for the repairs. I was quoted $6419 for a new Transfer Case and led to believe that this type of repair is not done very often. This vehicle was $63000 when new. It appears to me that BMW is well aware of these Drive Train issues and there by offers a their Drive Train Warranties to end at 48,000 miles. I will eventually sell this SUV but I will telling the story to friends and family about how BMW is not the Ultimate
Driving Machine. I like the way this BMW SUV handles but I don't like the way BMW supports their customers problems.
