BMW says the gearbox of this car needs no maintenance, but mine failed at 80,000 miles. They (BMW) quoted me 10,000 use for a reconditioned (!) gearbox fix!
ZF guys told me that BMW should recommend a gearbox maintenance every 80,000 km (50,000M) at a cost of 1000 USD, that would have solved the problem!
I tried to get some compensation from BMW, but they would not even listen to me...
