?BMW has become aware of a potential problem with the durability of the Tank Leak Diagnostic Module (DMTL) pump on MY 2007, 2008 and 2009 BMW X5 vehicles equipped with the N52K engine. A small percentage of these vehicles will actually develop this problem. Some of the affected vehicles will have the Service Engine Soon lamp illuminated, but the vehicle?s drivability and engine performance will not be reduced by this DMTL pump malfunction.
