The contact owns a 2007 BMW X5. While driving 2 mph downhill in inclement weather conditions, all of the tires locked up and the vehicle slid and drifted abnormally. The dealer stated that they were aware of the failure. The contact speculated that the failure could have resulted from a shutdown of the computer, which subsequently caused the traction control to fail. The cause of the failure has not been determined and the vehicle has not been repaired. He called the manufacturer and was forwarded to the dealer. The failure and current mileages were 15,020. Updated 03-30-09 the rear hatch was loose. Updated 04/01/09.
