Drove into public parking lot, at a very low speed. I made two left turns into parking space, when more than half way into parking space the car suddenly accelerated, jumping over curve down and incline, where it jumped the curve of the lower parking space. Lucky that there was no car parked on the lower parking space, because it would had caused a head-on collision and substantial damages. My wife with me in the car was really shook up and scared from what occurred!!!
While parking, I was going 5mph to get to my parking spot in a garage. Suddenly the car accelerated and I had to stop it with two feet on the brake. Luckily, I only had a slight fender scratch. I reported it to the dealer but was told that there is no proof that the car malfunctioned. He said it would take weeks to investigate so I did not leave the car. He had there were no reported problems with sudden acceleration,
I had a BMW 2013 X3 and it also accelerated suddenly as well but only once. I am truly disappointed because the car is excellent otherwise. I do not think I will buy another BMW after this incident.
