BMW had a class action lawsuit for this problem for the 2010-2015 year models. The company has clearly not fixed the problem! I purchased this car in a hurry, and only spent 48 hours test driving other vehicles, because my 2014 Audi Hybrid had died on the road at 54K and I was convinced BMW would be better. I planned to drive it until end of life. However, I did not research the vehicle/engine problems or I likely would not have bought it. I'm working with Gebhardt BMW in Boulder, CO and plan to drive it through the warranty and then shed it! Should there be another class action lawsuit for this problem I want to join so I can potentially be reimbursed for this situation as now the oil pump has failed six months later (3/2023). Reporting that separately as soon as I have the final bill.
