really awful
drivetrain problem
I brought the car from the Mercedes dealer on 2/23/2021. Since October 19, 2021 I have been unable to drive it - it rides slow and bad. I took it to the shop, I was told it was the drivetrain that needs to be fix at the cost of 2,900, and even after that is repaired I was told I’ll have another issue because I would need to replace the engine - as well, the engine will run me from 3100-5000. I still pay a note on this car - this is very frustrating

This is a gently used automobile, one of 4 we own. Out of warranty due to age, but not mileage. Front tires wore out in a weird pattern, inside edge on both tires in very poor condition at 34,000 miles. Immediately upon replacing tires the car started experiencing extreme locking of differential when wheels turned hard left or right. Dealer diagnosed as bad differential but not admitting defective part. Obviously a very expensive fix on a car that should not have a differential problem ever, certainly not with 34,850 miles. At 66 years old, this is not my first car and not my first BMW. In the past 10 years we have owned at least 5, two currently. I have owned BMWs since I was 18 when I purchased my first 2002 tii. Clearly (to me at least) BMW has to own this problem and repair or replace this differential at their cost but the dealer is not agreeing.

My vehicle stopped without warning on the freeway. I feel the oil leak probably caused it, but was told by the mechanic it just lost compression.
