4x4 light on, thumping from back tires while driving
Purchased used 2005 X3 which seems to be be in good condition and well kept, with the exception of one issue. THE ONLY LIGHT THAT IS ON IS THE 4X4 LIGHT. The ride is smooth and seems fine when going straight, but once you turn a corner and accelerate again there is a heavy thumping sound and feel from the back of the vehicle (underneath). Sometimes it also does this when slowing down but not always.
