automatic A/C blows hot air on legs when set to 67
This has been reviewed on Bimmerfest and Bimmerpost to nausea. My problem is that the cooling is it at least 5° lower than the equivalent setting on my 2015 335 GT and M235 vehicles.
The car doesn't handle solar heat load very well and as such, you need to turn down the temp on very close to maximum. The problem occurs when you go in to automatic mode and the vehicle temperature is set above or at 70° there's a good chance that you're going to have hot air blowing on your legs, especially if the upper body temperature control is set too cold rather than neutral.
The bottom line is that you have to fiddle too much with the air conditioner and on $80,000 car that's unacceptable. There is no automatic mode essentially. I believe it's a software issue rather than a hardware issue because when you set the system to full Max AC the system performs well. However as soon as you switch over to automatic you will start to feel hot air on your legs. There are definitely work around, but why am I working around or working at all when I'm supposed to have a luxury vehicle. It one thing when your alone, but when you're with passengers and they're constantly complaining that it's too hot or there's hot air blowing on them that's a problem.
