The car was and is knocking when taking off from stop. It feels I get rear ended. Also randomly goes in reverse when in park or does not go to reverse at all. Also at times go to reverse when trying to go into drive shift. When the car is cold going to reverse making a loud clunky sound. Dealer is denying any problem. It is in another shop and not fixed yet.

Two continuous issues: 1. when depressing the gas pedal the vehicle would hesitate, RPM's would shoot up, and would take 3-10 seconds to regain power and for car to accelerate. I know this doesn't make sense but this happens regularly when car sits in the hot sun during the day. Does not happen during cooler days. 2. when coming to a stop sign the vehicle makes a hard jerk and feels like someone slamming into the back of the car - hard. The car then jerks into gear. The dsc indicator light then flashes several times until I resume normal speed and then the light goes out. I'm very surprised this hasn't caused an accident or injury to my neck, it's that hard of a jerk. I've had the car to the local dealership and they can't find anything wrong. It's to the point where I don't want to drive my BMW for any unnecessary errands and thought I would upgrade to a newer 750li in the near future but not sure if I want to purchase this model again. BMW, please step up and fix this issue - there are too many complaints out there for this to continue to be ignored.

I had my car to the hunterdon BMW dealership 8 times for my car refusing to leave neutral. Their factory BMW engineers checked the car twice and found no problems, the mechanics could never find the problem. They just kept reprogramming the computers till it ran. I finally gave up since BMW refused to help me. I traded the car in on 4/1/13 because I feared it would stop running again, and bought a Cadillac. The problem with this is I received peanuts for my car because of it history, no dealers wanted it, they knew it was a lemon. So BMW sold me a lemon and I ended up with a worthless car, and a year later they admit it was a problem. They knew all along by the hundreds of complaints that they had a problem, and ignored it. There were hundreds of people on web pages complaining, and all of them were ignored by BMW.

The car transmission will not engage. If you try to put the car in reverse or forward gear nothing happens. The gear goes to neutral and does not let parking gear or any other gear angage. If gear stays in drive mod and when you are wondering what to do gear suddenly engages itself and car shoots itself if brake pedal was not pressed. I contacted the dealer who notified that they could not assess the problem for a week because of busy schedule. The car is in non dealer shop currently.

When I was in park put car in reverse and car would not go in reverse went back into neutral on its own, so I put car back in park and retried and put it reverse several times and when the transmission kicked into reverse there was a large clank sound and a jerk that felt like I had been hit from behind, when stopped at red light to take off same thing the car jerked again. Then transmission fault light came on stated drive moderately, and another warning came on stating certain gears were not working correctly. Parked in garage and after several attempts the car did the same thing, vehicle was taken to local dealership for inspection and diagnostic testing to detect problems.

Continuation of affected parts: Latches/locks/linkages and parking brake, your site states recalls for 2006 BMW 750I, but BMW said there is no recalls for my VIN. I have been having multiple safety issues with this vehicle. I have been having problems with the latches/locks on all four doors, they repeatedly go lock and unlock. I was driving down the street with my 3 year old grandchild and his door came open. The car also accelerates and shuts down almost like is going to stop. Parking brake light will not go off and it makes a grinding noise.

When driving down the interstate the car lost power go from during 60mph to 20 mph and I was on the gas, the vehicle stall out and would take 3-10 seconds to re-gain any power before the vehicle would begin to accelerate. Also once coming up to a stoplight or stop sign, the vehicle would feel as if someone had slammed into the back of me possibly jerking into gear. Spent countless times at the dealership with them giving me the run around, replacing random parts before replacing the entire transmission and still the vehicle continues to have issues. Now the car is misfiring and will not start at all. Been in the shop for 2 months and still not working.

Over the last 4-5 years, have had multiple transmission related issues. There have been 6/7 transmission oil leaks that had to be fixed and refixed. 2 guibo joints have been replaced over this time. Over the last year and half, the transmission failure light has come on 30+ times when stopped on the road. Upon accelerating the car jerks into gear and moves forward. Twice over the last month, the car was stopped, engine running, and in park. The transmission changed from park to neutral by itself just about causing me to unknowingly roll into our homes fence.

We were backing out of a parking space and the vehicle just went in gear on its own. I also couldn't get the car to go in gear. Car still does not run right. Transmission isn't right, when vehicle is started it just kicks back in neutral and will not go in drive or reverse. Dealer can't seem to fix nor can they tell me anything that they can do to fix other that buying new transmission. I have only had the car for 6 months and all service work was done at BMW of sarasota. I have only put 4,050 miles on vehicle since November and I have not had the vehicle since April because they can't seem to fix car.

Stopped at a light and as I was slowing down the car jerked as if it was being hit from the rear.. following the light change, I got a hesitant pull off and knocking or the car seemed to skip or as if gear was slipping. 2nd time car was put in D and jumped out of gear and heard a loud thud as if car was being rear ended. 3rd time I was approaching a stop signal while driving approximately 30 mph and the transmission began to downshift with a loud banging noise. The dealer cannot replicate this issue at is random, but other BMW owners have noted the same issue. It is possible to get a neck injury from this "violent.

When I first bought the car I had problems with the air conditioner, since then my car has been in the shop almost monthly for problems with the engine and the transmission and steering. BMW writes on the yellow sheet that they have you sign with what you tell them but when you go back the invoice that you are given is different that what you signed for. I recently learned that when I noticed that the invoice does not have the information that was written when I was in front of the service advisor. Which means that when you are asking for copies of you repair order the information is different than your original complaint.
