This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The driver and passenger windows, front and rear, are defective. The double panes separate, causing a white film to gradually appear and eventually take over the whole window, obstructing view. Attempts to resolve directly with BMW were futile due to "warranty expiration". however, a new window was installed due to breakage during the last winter storm, and already it is showing signs of the same problem. The "incident date" here refers only to the newest window which was just installed. It is not certain when the other windows began evidencing the same problem but it is obvious that the problem just gets worse over time. At the time of this writing I do not know the manufacturer of the glass but I am working on finding out so I have just picked a random name so that I can submit the complaint.
