These control arms in the front of the car can get so badly worn that when you brake, the whole wheel jerks forward and grinds against your inner fender liner. They cost a decent amount to replace, and inspection stations won't pass you, until you fix it. There are 3 of them on each front wheel, but the 2 main ones go bad usually, and the repair is fairly simple.
