The contact owns a 2012 BMW 740I. The contact stated that when resting his left knee on the driver's side door, he would inadvertently depress the side view mirror buttons. In addition, the driver's seat would move back and forth independently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the mechanic stated that the seat adjustment mechanism and the side view mirrors needed replacing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,000. Updated 11/25/13
