The clockspring failed at just at 32k miles. This is a 5 year old car with very low miles - the fact that it failed after factory warranty expired is BS. These known to break with bmw's bad design of the ribbon cables that are attached to it in the clockspring of the steering wheel column. Causing airbag light to go off then slowly blind spot and lane assist malfunction along with non working cruise control and and steering wheel control. Gave me lots of bmw codes due to a broken clockspring cause of cheap plastic and bad ribbon cable design. Bmw needs to recall this issue cuz a clockspring is supposed to last for a long time or at least 80+k.
