The contact stated the when the vehicle was started, the exhaust had begun to emit a large cloud of white smoke from the tailpipe. The contact was aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V907000 (Fuel System, Diesel), and turned the vehicle off and had it towed to a dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed and determined that the EGR Cooler had failed and had damaged the engine and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
