The contact researched the NHTSA campaign id number: 08V384000 (air bags:frontal), but the dealer and manufacturer stated the VIN was not associated with the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 35,000 and the current mileage was 35,000.
2007 BMW 530 I. the light indicating the front passenger air bag is not working seems to be unfixable. BMW will not give me any assurance that the problem is not of any danger and actually told me not to drive it if I feel it is unsafe. It has been repaired five times yet the light continues to come on.
