The water pump is leaking at electrical connector. However BMW has stated they do not have a remedy to the recall as of 1-3-25, 5 months after NHTSA put out the recall announcement. BMW USA. The remedy has stated that water pump and electronic to be replaced and a shield to be put in place. I am sure that the replacement water pump and Electronic is currently available, Just the shield may not be available. As NHTSA has issued this recall and has a potential of Fire.
