Recently, in the last 30 days multiple critical safety components of my BMW vehicle have malfunctioned without warning, posing significant risks to my safety and that of other road users 1. **Horn System Failure**: The horn system of my BMW has ceased to function across all driving conditions, including park, reverse, drive, and when the vehicle is stationary. This abrupt failure indicates a potential electrical and mechanical malfunction, as there have been NO accidents and airbag deployments. This is very alarming and confusing how does a the horn on my vehicle just STOP working. 2. **Risk to Safety**: The failure of the horn system poses a serious hazard in emergency situations where signaling warnings or alerts to other road users is crucial. This not only jeopardizes my safety but also endangers the safety of others on the road. 3. **Seatbelt Issues**: Additionally, the seatbelts in my vehicle are experiencing difficulty clicking and seem to have restraint issues. This further compromises passenger safety in the event of a collision or sudden braking. 4. **Steering Wheel Problems**: Furthermore, there are issues with the steering wheel, which may affect the vehicle's handling and control, posing additional safety risks while driving. **Confirmation and Inspections**: I have promptly consulted with East Bay BMW, located at 4350 Rosewood Dr., Pleasanton, CA, where Danny Martinez serves as the Service Advisor, reachable directly at 925-621-8236. Even after thorough examination, the service advisor expressed shock and confusion regarding the malfunction of the horn, recognizing its crucial role in ensuring driver and passenger safety. Additionally, I am aware of several recalls related to steering wheel issues in the 2013 BMW models. Given my reliance on this vehicle for transportation to and from college, I urgently seek assis

Adaptive headlight, turn signals, daytime/parking lamp and headlamp vehicle aim malfunctions. it is available for inspection. Hand signals are required due to the front signals inoperability. It is reason to be aware certain enviromental conditions can prevent hands signals and or other to see the signals. an inability to signal as vehicles are mandated to provide, potentially can be a dire situation for all involved. The actual subject company confirmed the issue upon inspection. Along with two independent mechanic shops. Inspected by manufacturer. There were not any pre-warning alerts. The notifications presented themselves upon the onset of malfunctions. At that point the damage was already embedded. My research uncovered BMW has allowed the defect to exist for over 10 years conservatively. Repairs can cost the BMW owner between $5000 to $10,000. I have not been able to find another manufacture's vehicle with the same issue. Therefore, this is malfeasance on the part of BMW.

Condensation in headlights, common in the vehicle with now fix. Water seeps through and destroys electronics, including leveling, adjusting, and turn signals. Each time it rains it becomes worse and makes visibility difficult. When the vehicle was bought it was stated to the sales department and was told it is no issue. Seen many other 5 series with same issue.

My 2013 528I has some problems with the motor. I purchased the car around December 18 some time with about 76000 miles and only had it for 2 days an problem's came. First it was saying I drivetrains malfunction so I turn the car off an tried to crank it about 4 times an it finally crunk. About 3 days later same problem occurred so I contacted the dealer but they couldn't help me. So I left the car sit for a day an came to crank it an everything was fine. About a week later on the way to work my car just shut off an the, dashboard symbol came on saying low oil pressure to the motor. I read on this on others complaints an seen some similar problems. Took my car to the BMW dealership in raleigh early in January they said I may need a new motor an it would cost to just go inside the motor to actually see the problem car dosnt crank but tries to turn over

Drivers door lock is failing at only 40,000 miles. We first noticed this problem when we would lock the car from the key fob and noticed the door wouldn't lock, even though the car would beep and the security system would activate. Then, if you went to open the door after you locked the car, the alarm would go off because it wasn't actually locked. When you're inside the car, you can see the door lock pin slowly trying to move down or up into the locked or unlocked position. Sometimes it would make it into the desired position, other times it would stop about half way. After a few moths of this, it's more often that not the lock doesn't work correctly.

Doors are getting lockdown sporadically even after your car is at complete stop and parked, unless you press the central unlock switch in the panel you are locked down in the car, it took 15mins for me to figure out how to unlock the doors and come out. If this is an emergency situation then I would have been dead by now. There are 1000S of people posted online with this problem, I am surprised there is no recall from BMW on this. I thought it is best to report first in NHTSA first, here I am I am giving additional details with exact same problem. The driver's side door handle and/or actuator fails and does not open from the inside without pressing the electric button on the dash to unlock all doors. Upon pulling the inside door handle, the door lock pin slowly moves up and then recedes back down into the lock position when releasing the handle. In an emergency where an occupant would need to exit the vehicle quickly, or where the electronics have failed in the car, this could present a significant safety hazard, ultimately trapping an occupant in the vehicle.

I have an ongoing issue with the drivers side door lock where at random times (about 2X per month) the doors make a ratcheting sound like the motor is trying to lock and unlock door in very quick sequence. It happens right after I open the door coming into the car from the outside. I unlock via the remote when this happens. I have noticed that the lock on door moves into a position it is not supposed to be in so when you close the door you can hear metal on metal hitting. For now the door seems to lock and secure- I am concerned this will get worse and the door will not properly lock/ secure causing the door to come open while driving causing harm to myself or to others. I am attaching two pictures- one shows the lock as normal- the other shows the lock right after this issue happens where the wrong position of the lock can be seen. I have taken this in to BMW multiple times and they can't get the car to produce the issue while there and so they have not been able to resolve. A specialist looked at the car a they replaced an electronic board that controls the locks but the issue continues. I am frustrated at their lack of ability or interest in finding out what is happening or resolving the issue. The issue absolutely does exist and I am concerned for my safety.
