Electrical wiring insulation/sheathing within the headlight unit/housing is showing signs of and or outright deterioration which in turn exposes bare wires within the headlight housing. BMW/VW/AUDI all them three are having the same issues.. I have done some research and all of them have used the same wiring in their headlights. Some a light to be on all the time, they need to have better wire.
